Map lights not coming on when doors open

Subject: Map lights not coming on when doors open Tue Aug 16, 2022 5:00 am

Not sure how to solve this issue.

And also not sure when this function stopped working. Again when i was replacing a bunch of LEDs in the cabin, i noticed that these wouldnt come on/off when door(s) open/closed.

Have depressed/ and undepressed (?) the 'DOOR' button on the console and tested a bunch of combos.

Door LEDs and the extreme rear LED come on when door is open.

Thought maybe that the door sensors might be stuck...nope.

Under the black wrap insulators are resistors, i know with the original incandescent bulbs, when the doors were closed, the lights would slowly fade out.

Im wondering if i remove these resistors that the LEDs will work when the door closes?

I also re-soldered some joints in case they had got dry.

Did you ever figure out what was going on?
