It is MOT time again, gave it a good inspection only to find the front swinging arm ball joint boots were split both left and right. Have replaced them 2 years ago, they have only lasted 10,000 miles is this normal , as the boots are not replaceable we have to fit the full arm. Not a hard job with a car lift , there was very little if any slack in the ball joint but split boots is an MOT fail , just wondered how many miles others got from there swinging arms.
