Subject: Rear moon roof, lock function won't turn off Sat Dec 18, 2021 6:20 pm
Hey guys my 96 toyota hiace super custom, the rear sunroof/moonroof won't close but it goes up and down... To a certain point which isn't fully closed.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

You'll probably have to drop the rear roof lining and investigate: once removed the mechanism is fairly easy to access.

If I was to reply stuff does it matter if I take parts of a diesel or does it have to be a petrol, for example the blue box?

Hi!
I think the box is the same for all vehicles. There should perhaps be a limit switch somewhere, maybe it's worth
It's easy to remove the motor (IIRC, it was a while ago I looked at mine!) and then check the full range of movement is available and smooth, and if you find any switches, test they work with a nice click and a multimeter.
