Loose Steering Column Empty

Hi Folks,

Just took delivery of my 96 Hiace Super Custom Ltd. Upon inspection there is a lot of play in the steering column (It has the power adjustable type with memory function) The telescoping function doesn't lock either. Has anyone had this issue?
