2.8 cruising cabin 1993: Cambelt replacement and tow a boat!

Anyone able to tell me the service interval for cambelt replacement on a 2.8 cruising cabin? It was last done when imported with just 8000 miles on the clock, 5 years ago and I've done 38000 since then. Should I be changing the water pump now too- no evidence of this being looked at or ever replaced?

Towing: I've just fitted a towbar and plan to tow a sailing dinghy (500kg max inc trailer) to Southern france this summer, plus 4 bikes and a family of 4 inside wth camping gear. i'm guessing the Cruising Cabin camping interior adds a fair weight already; has anyone got a view on whether the van is up to this job? I'm never in a rush and will take 2 days to get down there?

The belt reminder light on mine came on at 90,000km. I don't know the history of the vehicle before that but my much newer Prado has 120,000km as the recommended replacement interval so that seems to pretty much agree.

100,000 kms or 5 years whichever is the sooner. If you don't know do it now.
