please kindly advise: l drove my old super custom diesel auto for some 2300km and it all went well . the next day , as l was driving around town , l noticed a pool of oil under the car , l checked the oil level and it was ok . l then drove some 3 km and stopped . the leaking oil was not there. As l drove around again , the engine went off . l checked oil level and it was really low . l topped up and started the engine so as to drive to the closest mec in town . the car just drove less than 500m and went off again. l had to call the mec to tow the car . now l wouldnt want the man work on the car before l get some idea of what the problem is .
the question is : 1. where is the oil leak coming from (l noticed that one of the back wheels has some oil splashes as well).
2. why is the engine no longer starting?
