Rear brake drum compatability

Hi guys. I've got a slightly out of shape rear drum on the o/s/r of my van. Does anyone know if anything else is swappable from the Hi Lux or any other models etc? It's a 6 stud 95 with the 3L non turbo 2.8D auto model.

I've tried ToyoDiy.com to try and get a part number to do a comparison search but had no luck with the drum numbers unfortunately. Toyota want circa £300 for one

Something rings a bell that I read here that Landcruiser brakes are compatible. That may have been front discs though, not certain.

Not sure exactly which model you have but on toyodiy I get this for the drum 42431-26081

08/1989-01/2006 TOYOTA HIACE LH1**,RZH10*,11*,125,135,15* 41-02: REAR AXLE SHAFT & HUB

and only the hiace for drum with part no. 42431-26140

The only difference appears to be that one has a balance piece whereas the other doesn't.

Sometimes the parts listings are very confusing. Many a time I find that the part number has been replaced/superceded once or twice and a new part may fit more than one vehicle despite the way it appears in the listings.

Taking it to the hilux wreckers may be your best bet.
