OK, so i'm kinda on the scrounge, but its for a good cause....

Every year Motor Trader magazine run a charity event, a banger run for the Auto industry charity Ben... This year the run is from London to Monaco and Back, in a car that cost no more than £500....

As i work in the industry ( for HPI) i have always meant to do this, so this year i have signed up. Its costing me £500 to particpate, which i'm hoping to cover with sponsorship ( fully intend to use industry contacts, but feel free to help ifyou know anyone), so now onto what motor to take... yes, Mondeo and Escorts are ten a penny, but i thought i'd just check to see if an old SC might be floating around in this price bracket, i doesn't need to be pretty, just reliable. When we get back the cars are auctioned, with the proceeds going to Ben...

If anyone knows of an SC that might fit the bill, can you let me know.... i know its a long shot, but worth a go. Happy to provide more info to anyone. Have a look at www. ben.org.uk for more info

Cheers all and sorry to be asking on here.......
