| Interesting. This shows a definite difference betweent the 3L and 1KZ engine cooling arrangements. Based on the parts available on the Hiace Southeast webpages (https://www.hiacesoutheast.com/store/cooling-system) I think the thermostats are designed to operate at different temperatures, too and there are seemingly two options for the 1KZ, which I didn't realise. Yes it does. The vertical radiator has 2 inputs and outputs. 2 hoses snake down to the horizontal radiator in the front.
It is very challenging to get to.
Also they stack the condenser on top so the condenser fan blows hot air into the lower radiator when you have the AC on.
