| Just shoved in a new high performance air filter from Uni filter http://www.uniflow.com.au/ Strait away i can notice a increase in power, and alot more sucking noise from the intake vent, hoping i will see better fuel economy as well | |

| Yeah part number CKC145 280SCP. Comes in a kit, replacement filter foam, cleaning fluid and oil. $120 including postage. Big $$ but re-usable over and over. | |

| They used to be popular on the jap accessory sites....trouble is our hiaces are no longer the latest thing. Can't see too much detail on the pic, but (shape wise) I'm wondering whether its a homemade..... | |

| Yeah...Keen on the flares but would prefer an actual snorkel instead.(Higher Higher! ) Still... looks pretty smooooth! I had a wicked one off an old mini that would've been perfect if you wanted it to start about mid way along your door??? Same,Just heaps BIGGER!!! Thanks for the filter info! | |

| You learn something new everyday. While I was changing the air filter I was looking around and wondering where in air intake is.
It does seem a small hole for the air to get drawn in and I think at speed maybe it is harder for the engine to draw in the air. I'd like to get an air scoop too. Might it improve fuel economy? | |

| I've been trying to figure out where the air filter is.. and so far haven't had much luck. Any pointers will be appreciated. I've changed air filters for my other cars for a number of years and it was most straightforward, hiace stumped me.. as simongd says you learn something new about your hiace everyday | |
