| Hello Gang. A connection has rattled apart on my 3L engine and I want to solder it back together but I want to make sure I have the wires going into the correct sides. When you are looking into the engine bay this connection is about a foot from the near edge of the bay and looks like it controls or sends a signal to/from the IP. This is the end that the connection plugs into: You can see the throttle rocker on the top right This is the broken off end that the wire was attached to: If you slip back the black wire cover on the wire you will see there is a green wire and a red wire with a green stripe. When plugged in, which wire is on the right side? | |

| Only fits one way, but I think the wires have been pulled out of the back of the connector? | |

| Yes, the wires pulled out... The van runs w/o the connection. Not sure exaclty what it does.
Anybody w/ a 3L engine mind taking a look? Should take less than a minute. | |

| That translates to the red wire being on the right in #1 pic...and green on left | |

| Thanks Chisandhiace!
That's what I thought (from the way the wires were torn) but I wanted to be certain.
I looked on the parts catalogue and no luck w/ the #rs on the connection.
I still have no idea what this is. Perhaps some sort of fuel shut-off but that’s just a wild guess.
I’ve got some delicate soldering to do now.
Thanks for everybody’s efforts.
Cheers! | |
