the battery that came with van is caput . now i have a new heavy duty one that i saved for a rainy day as you do , problem toyota batterys are different ie the positive and neutral are one wrong side of battery / so how do i fix this problem can i take the positive off the box and attatch it to positive teminal on battery ????

You may find that there is enough slck in both leads to make them reach.

If the battery isn't a "flat top" you may have trouble. I made up an 'l'-shaped connection to lift the fuse box gizmo up an inch - you can buy terminal clamps & other bits & bobs from Halfords.

I bought a battery once for a Toyota car and it was called an" Exide Japanese" because it was some sort of peculiar size. Don't have the car now to check it but might be worth asking about??

typical i go out and buy the leads to fit the battery i have saved , starts first time then i turn off no go battery is a knacker , i have a battery tester and it has a load switch no no . new battery needed back to the factors in morning

My replacement battery was listed for a Mitsubishi...pajero or other 4wd I think. The wires are at full stretch, but the amps are there.......

i got one this morning terminals on right side to so dont need extensions all ok 59 quid 2 yr warranty
