Radiator caps KZH106

Hi there,

Hiace Supercustom - year 2000
Model KZH106W
3ltr turbo diesel 4WD

Im after some info please -

1. The correct pressure rating on the radiator cap (0.9 or 1.1 bar/13 or 16psi)

2. What is the part called that the second radiator cap is on, located to the rear of the engine? It holds coolant and is seperate to the main radiator/cooling system.

3. Are these two caps the same?

1 – I don’t know. Mine is 0.9, but mine is 3L. If you’re having some blow by, maybe the spring is weak, the cap’s seal is past its best or maybe there is some crustiness on the metal sealing surface. The KH engines have a different thermostat that has a slightly lower opening temp.
2 – I think that’s a heat exchange unit (intercooler). I don't have one.
3 – Dunno.
