-oil filter question: your van uses a Toyota 90915-20001 which cross references to a Fram 3614 or a Denso 1502010
That filter was on the following Toyota vehicles in the US:
1984-2010 Toyota 4Runner 1995-2004 Toyota Avalon 1988-2006 Toyota Camry 1977-1986 Toyota Celica 1988-1989 Toyota Celica 2002-2002 Toyota Celica 1977-1982 Toyota Corona 1978-1992 Toyota Cressida 2007-2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser 2001-2010 Toyota Highlander 1994-1994 Toyota Land Cruiser 1996-2007 Toyota Land Cruiser 1977-1995 Toyota Pickup 1991-1997 Toyota Previa 2001-2009 Toyota Sequoia 1998-2006 Toyota Sienna 1999-2008 Toyota Solara 1986-1998 Toyota Supra 1993-1998 Toyota T100 1995-2015 Toyota Tacoma 2000-2010 Toyota Tundra
It has an anti-drain back valve listed so it is very likely upside down on the engine. Filters with silicone anti drain back valves are popular in these applications because they are better.

You guys are awesome and a wealth of knowledge. Thx SO much! Final question relates to wipers. Does anybody carry this type or do most people just switch out the whole arm assembly? Thx in advance

Welcome!
I bought an adaptor so I could use normal j hook wipers.
Looked like these:

Really great comments from blgravely. I also like the idea of arm kit. I’ll be looking into those. I see they say ‘Left’. I’m guessing that’s for some sort of sidedness, but if it opens up using the more typical blades then this is good for me. I use Bosch aero blades on my car (wasn’t originally fitted for them) and they are great in my opinion. If there’s an equivalent for the Hiace then I’ll be switching as my blades are old. I repainted the arms so will be retaining those.
On the oils etc do take a look at the ‘Hiacesoutheast’ website and the Electronic Parts Catalogue (landing page is https://toyota.epc-data.com/regius_ace/) for other bits and to discover OEM part numbers, which may be changed over time, too. Another online site that can be useful, but isn’t always is ‘Autodoc’.
Good luck with the oil change!!

Great question. They face one direction or the other. Depends on your wiper config LH119V
She has a Hiace and a hilux truck that both needed Japanese adaptors.
On her van you need one direction for the wipers and her truck faces the other way. The adaptor sidedness is the direction the arm end points. Hope I explained that right. Basically you want the hook to curve towards the glass.
I’ll go take a photo or something when I feel better I promise. I’ve been under the weather all week. Poor wife has been waiting on me half-dead in the guest room.
