Television aerials. The aerials themselves have been removed but the bases they fitted onto remain.
Your van will have had a Japanese analogue TV in it from the factory, it was likely combined with a satnav unit and a Japanese stereo system which has probably been removed and some other stereo unit fitted. The reason for two aerials is that reception in a moving vehicle is difficult due to extreme signal strength fluctuations so the TV receiver actually uses two receivers and a circuit which switches between them continuously in response to the variations which won't be the same in both because of the separation. It's called 'dual diversity reception'.

That's great, thank you for clearing that up. Makes sense now. Was thinking Roof lights?, Solar panel?or even emergency light as some hiaces used as ambulances.
Couldn't see it in photos on other vans so maybe it was a factory extra? The tv box is inside the van but your right any aeriels sat-nav/ stereo have been removed. Funnily enough still have the flare tube in
cab. These vans are interesting. ;-)
