EGR delete for 1KZ-TE

I just read a massive post by GPW regarding cooling the 1KZ and thermostat positioning, oscillations etc. He is obviously a brainiac of massive proportions!

On 4WD forums in Australia the EGR delete and de gunking the inlet manifold seem to be popular for cooling and increasing longevity of this engine.

After a quick look around I can’t see anybody here talking about this mod. It was a quick man’s look and I did try the search tool.
