| Subject: Which ATF for 1996 Hiace? Fri Mar 22, 2019 9:29 pm | |
| I have a question about what kind of ATF to use. The dipstick on my 1996 Hiace says Dexron II. This no longer seems to be available, so I'm trying to find out which ATF I can use that will replace Dexron II. I have read many opposing opinions on the Internet, which makes me a bit worried about which ATF to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

| I'm using synthetic D3-H in mine (1kz-te 2WD) and it works fine.
I did have to do about 4 partial changes over a short distance though as it cleaned a lot of crap out, but all is good now.
Just check the colour after 100 miles and if it's darker than red/pink do another change as new Dexron has a cleaning action. Always only do partial (3 Litre) changes).
Remember to check level when running and use the C - H cold - hot markers on level ground. Fill via dipstick tube.. | |
