2L TE Sump

So my leaky porous sump continues, managed to persuade a self employed mechanic mate to take on the job, won't price though until he is doing it, and called into local toyota dealer one I worked at 20 years back, sump part number is now 12101 54184 priced at £415!!! Some badgering and got 10% off so £362

Before I order it I'm searching the net so anything anyone can offer to help ease the pain will be eternally greatful

Possibly a custom part for the Hiace even if the engine is standard Toyota. May be worth checking.
If he has to remove the engine you could also get a few more bits renewed at the same time, could be he just needs to lift it off the front mounts slightly to get to it.

Are you sure that partnumber is okay?
Because then it would be the same for a 2L and 5L engine and thus easier to find in Europe. Should be cheaper or maybe second hand with new gasket?

According to the parts manual previous owner gave me the part number at build was 12101 54182 dealer said its been superseded to 54184 so can only assume its correct
And I am all for easier to find and cheaper lol

Maybe if you contact Klokkerholm themselves directly, they can check if there is somewhere still one in their stock.
