| Our roof vent has started to leak even when firmly wound shut. anyone had this problem and can advise on a good repair? would like to source a new seal if possible. Setting off to scandinavia and St Petersburg this summer so need it sorted properly. | |

I had a similar problem a few years ago. Despite checking seals and other investigations, leak continued to drip from skylight. Turned out to be perished rubber seals in bolts/screws in glass skylight that hold open/close mechanism in place. Rather than take skylight apart and risk damaging mosquito net, I just applied black silicone around both external blots/screws. Not had a leak from sky light since. Hope this works for you. | |
