MPG ROUGH IDEA ON 3.0 TURBO DIESEL

Hi all

was thinking of changing from a manual 2.8 non turbo to a 1995 hi top lwb 3.0turbo diesel automatic

can anyone give me an idea of mpg on a run keeping to 56 ish and general round the doors figure

I think I managed around 10 litres per 100Ks, however the loud pedel calls and often was much less than that!

does that mean a turbo does about 30 mpg is that on motorway or around town ?????

Motorway, way less around town, but again how low depends on how you drive!

Hi, 97 3L Super Custom Auto. 12.27 litres per 100k around town or 46.5 litres for 379ks. No highway figures yet. Cheers.

hi thanks again hope my math is correct - so thats

100 k divide by 12.27 = 8.15 k to the litre --- approx 5 litres to gallon

so 8.15 x 5 = 40.75 kiloms to gallon

roughly 40.75 x 0.642 = 26.16 miles to gallon as rough calculation less a bit for good measure


= around early twenties to the gallon around town maybe call it 22 mpg to be fair

Your not too far off the mark with 20-25 mpg. Again as Clive says depends on how you drive.
