| iv heard about the car starts smoking and clogs up the diesel pump....is it better to mix it with normal diesel....have you used it yourself | |

| I have heard that only farmers are allowed to use it and that it stains internals red (so customs and excise know what you have been using). Were they winding me up? | |

| Hi Hathan, it could be a loose alternator belt that is causing the battery to go flat, try tightening it first before replacing the battery!! Hope that helps Regards Dave | |

| Sorry Hathan, misread your question, all joking aside, the red diesel would be no issue for your van. As the guys have said it is for farm vehicles which are running on standard non modified engines the red is simply a dye and does not have any effect on the mechanics other leaving an identifying stain. | the Red dye has a chemical signature that shows up when the tank is dipped.
Not suggesting anything but dyedepot do Diesel dyes...............

| Does the dye stay in the system for long term....back in the days the boys use to Boot Leg Alcohol from france n they use to use red diesel...they use to top it up with normal diesel b4 they get to Customs in Dover.....people use to play with fire....mans didnt give a dam they still dont i suppose....lol.....cheers anyway Clive... | |
